Anti-wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily relax muscles by blocking the release of chemicals involved in normal muscle contraction. This relaxation can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles associated with muscle movement (e.g. frown or forehead lines). Anti-wrinkle injections can also soften and prevent the formation of resting lines. Other uses for anti-wrinkle injections involve softening the upwards or downwards ‘pull’ of a facial muscle if it is resulting in a distracting facial feature (e.g. gummy smile or downturned mouth corners).

Common anti-wrinkle treatment areas include frown lines, forehead lines, crows feet lines, teeth clenching/jawline slimming, platysmal (neck) bands, gummy smile, lip flip, brow lift, chin dimpling, downturned mouth corners and bunny (nose) lines.

Cost of anti-wrinkle is $14/unit. The amount of units required and the overall treatment cost varies between patients depending on your requested treatment areas, treatment goals, individual facial anatomy, age, gender and how long it’s been since your last treatment. Results last 3-4 months on average.

You can read more about the safety of anti-wrinkle injections in our recent Butter Blog post. If you would like to find out how many units you require before booking in your anti-wrinkle treatment, please book a complimentary Butter consultation first.

Possible treatment areas include the cheeks, lips, chin, jawline, temples, smile lines, downturned mouth corners, upper lip lines, under eye hollowing and skin hydration. Cosmetic Nurse Elysia works in collaboration with her prescribing doctor to create an individualised treatment plan which celebrates and respects your natural facial features. Results last 6-24 months on average.

Jawline slimming

The masseter muscles contribute greatly to the shape of the lower face. When the masseter muscles are strong or overactive, the lower face can look wider, and the jawline more square. Anti-wrinkle injections into the masseter muscles can contour the shape of the lower face, providing a softer, slimmer and more feminine appearance.

Treatment cost starts from $560. It usually takes 2-6 weeks for results to be visible. Once the desired outcome has been achieved, results typically last 4-6 months.

  • Some patients are not suitable for jawline slimming treatments. Please contact us if you have booked a jawline slimming appointment and any of the following apply to you:

    1. You have previously had a reaction to an anti-wrinkle or jawline slimming treatment

    2. You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive

    3. You suffer from neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton Lambert syndrome

    4. You have an infection at the proposed site of injection.

Bio-remodelling

Not to be confused with ‘skin boosting’ dermal fillers, bio-remodelling treatments hydrate and remodel your skin from within. Minimal injection points are targeted to stimulate skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and restore the firmness of your skin. Bio-remodelling treatments can be introduced at any stage of your treatment journey and are an ideal choice if you wish to elevate the quality of your skin, without changing your facial shape or volume.

We recommend two treatments, spaced one month apart for the ultimate skin glow. Treatment cost is $1700/treatment area for two treatments. Treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Additional maintenance treatments should be booked every 6 months. To further enhance your results following your bio-remodelling treatment, we recommend purchasing the Profhilo Haenkenium Antioxidant Cream.

  • Some patients are not suitable for bio-remodelling treatments. Please contact us if you have booked a bio-remodelling appointment and any of the following apply to you:

    1. You have previously had a reaction to a bio-remodelling treatment

    2. You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive

    3. You have a history of forming keloid scars.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating)

Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is characterised by abnormally increased sweating, in excess of what is required to regulate body temperature. The underarms are commonly affected by this condition, due to the high concentration of sweat glands in this area. Anti-wrinkle injections have been found to be highly effective in the treatment of excessive sweating. Anti-wrinkle medication produces temporary chemical denervation of the sweat gland, resulting in a local reduction of sweating. This is achieved by injecting the medication in a grid-like pattern in the vicinity of the sweat glands, which are located within the dermis of the skin.

The objective of this treatment is to reduce underarm sweating to a tolerable and physiologically normal level, rather than achieving anhidrosis (no sweating). Please note that if there is an underlying medical condition causing increased sweating, this needs to be investigated by a doctor before undergoing treatment.

Treatment cost is $1000. Results typically last 4-6 months.

  • Some patients are not suitable for hyperhidrosis treatments. Please contact us if you have booked a hyperhidrosis treatment and any of the following apply to you:

    1. You have previously had a reaction to an anti-wrinkle or hyperhidrosis treatment

    2. You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive

    3. You suffer from neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton Lambert syndrome

    4. You have an infection at the proposed site of injection.

To reduce your risk of hyperhidrosis treatment complications, we recommend that you:

    • Do not seek any injectable treatments in the same treatment area in the four weeks prior to your appointment

    • Do not book any whooping cough or tetanus vaccinations in the four weeks prior to/following your appointment

    • Avoid drinking alcohol or taking medications that increase your risk of bruising (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for at least 24-48 hours prior to your appointment unless prescribed for a medical reason

•Complete your medical questionnaire form prior to arriving to the clinic (this will be sent to you via SMS)

    • Contact us ASAP if you become unwell before your appointment, or develop an active infection or cold sore

    • Avoid using deodorants or any products on your underarms in the 24 hours prior to your treatment

    • Shower on the morning of your treatment

Hay fever treatment

Hay fever is a common term referring to allergic rhinitis, a condition that is estimated to affect 19% of the Australian population. Symptoms of hay fever may include a runny, itchy or blocked nose, sneezing, or watering, redness and irritation of the eyes. These symptoms are caused by an allergic reaction to the inner linings of the nose, occurring seasonally or throughout the year. Common triggers of hay fever include house dust, animal fur, pollens, fungal spores, air pollutants and occupational sources. Hay fever symptoms can significantly impact a sufferer’s daily activities. Our non-invasive, needle-free hay fever treatment involves applying anti-wrinkle medication into the nasal passage. Anti-wrinkle medication blocks the nerve receptors in the nasal cavity and has been proven to reduce the inflammatory response to environmental factors causing hay fever symptoms. Most patients will experience a reduction in symptoms within 1-2 weeks. Patients with severe hay fever may require a second treatment.

Treatment cost is $280. We recommend booking this treatment every 6 months, or seasonally as your symptoms arise.

  • Some patients are not suitable for hay fever treatments. Please contact us if you have booked a hay fever appointment and any of the following apply to you:

    1. You have previously had a reaction to an anti-wrinkle or hay fever treatment

    2. You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive

    3. You suffer from neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton Lambert syndrome

    4. You have an infection in your nose

To reduce your risk of hay fever treatment complications, we recommend that you:

    • Do not book any whooping cough or tetanus vaccinations in the four weeks prior to/following your appointment

    • Avoid drinking alcohol or taking medications that increase your risk of bruising (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for at least 24-48 hours prior to your appointment unless prescribed for a medical reason

    • Complete your medical questionnaire form prior to arriving to the clinic (this will be sent to you via SMS)

    • Contact us ASAP if you become unwell before your appointment, or develop an active infection or cold sore

    • Avoid using nasal sprays or any products within your nasal passage in the 24 hours prior to your treatment

    • Practice hand hygiene upon arrival to the clinic and avoid touching your nose

    • Come to your appointment prepared to discuss your medical history, a list of your current medications (including dosage/frequency taken), your allergies, any skin conditions and information about previous cosmetic treatments/planned cosmetic treatments

Treatment details and aftercare instructions will be provided following your hay fever treatment.
