Hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating)
Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is characterised by abnormally increased sweating, in excess of what is required to regulate body temperature. The underarms are commonly affected by this condition, due to the high concentration of sweat glands in this area. Hyperhidrosis treatments have been found to be highly effective in the treatment of excessive sweating. This treatment produces temporary loss of nerve supply to the sweat glands, resulting in a local reduction of sweating.
The objective of this treatment is to reduce underarm sweating to a tolerable and physiologically normal level, rather than achieving anhidrosis (no sweating). Results typically last 4-6 months. Please note that if there is an underlying medical condition causing increased sweating, this needs to be investigated by a doctor before undergoing treatment.

Hay fever
Hay fever is a term referring to allergic rhinitis, a condition that is estimated to affect 19% of the Australian population. Symptoms of hay fever may include a runny, itchy or blocked nose, sneezing, or watering, redness and irritation of the eyes. These symptoms are caused by an allergic reaction to the inner linings of the nose, occurring seasonally or throughout the year. Common triggers of hay fever include house dust, animal fur, pollens, fungal spores, air pollutants and occupational sources.
Hay fever symptoms can significantly impact a sufferer’s daily activities. Our non-invasive, needle-free hay fever treatment involves applying medication into the nasal passage. This medication blocks the nerve receptors in the nasal cavity and has been proven to reduce the inflammatory response to environmental factors causing hay fever symptoms. Most patients will experience a reduction in symptoms within one to two weeks. Patients with severe hay fever may require a second treatment.
We recommend booking this treatment every six months, or seasonally as your symptoms arise. For more information about this treatment (including cost) please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au or book a complimentary Butter consultation.
