Cosmetic treatments.

Wrinkle reduction

Cosmetic wrinkle treatments temporarily relax muscles by blocking the release of chemicals involved in normal muscle contraction. This relaxation can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles associated with muscle movement (e.g. frown or forehead lines). Cosmetic wrinkle treatments can also soften and prevent the formation of resting lines. Other uses for cosmetic wrinkle treatments involve softening the upwards or downwards ‘pull’ of a facial muscle if it is resulting in a distracting facial feature (e.g. gummy smile or downturned mouth corners).

Common treatment areas include frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, teeth clenching/jawline slimming, platysmal (neck) bands, gummy smile, lip flip, brow lift, chin dimpling, downturned mouth corners and bunny (nose) lines.

The treatment cost varies between patients depending on requested treatment areas, treatment goals, individual facial anatomy, age, gender and how long it’s been since your last treatment. Results last 3-4 months on average. For more information about this treatment (including cost) please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au or book a complimentary Butter consultation.

Facial volume

Cosmetic facial volumising treatments can temporarily add volume to the face. Volumisation may be sought to contour and enhance existing features or replace volume lost throughout the ageing process. Possible treatment areas include the cheeks, lips, chin, jawline, temples, smile lines, downturned mouth corners, upper lip lines, under eye hollowing and skin hydration. Cosmetic Nurse Elysia works in collaboration with her prescribing doctor to create an individualised treatment plan which respects your natural facial features. Results last 12-24 months on average.

The treatment cost depends on the type and amount of volumising treatment used, which can vary depending on your treatment goals, individual facial anatomy, age, gender and how long it’s been since your last treatment. A discount is available when multiple areas are treated in a single appointment. For more information about this treatment (including cost) please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au or book a complimentary Butter consultation.

Jawline slimming

The masseter muscles contribute greatly to the shape of the lower face. When the masseter muscles are strong or overactive, the lower face can appear wider, and the jawline more square. Jawline slimming treatments can contour the shape of the lower face, providing a softer, slimmer and more feminine appearance. These treatments can also provide temporarily relief from symptoms of Bruxism, such as teeth clenching and grinding. This treatment usually takes 2-6 weeks for results to become visible. Once the desired outcome has been achieved, results typically last 4-6 months.

For more information about this treatment (including cost) please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au or book a complimentary Butter consultation.

  • Some patients are not suitable for jawline slimming treatments. Please contact us if you have booked a jawline slimming appointment and any of the following apply to you:

    2. You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive

    3. You suffer from neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton Lambert syndrome

    4. You have an infection at the proposed site of injection.

To reduce your risk of jawline slimming complications, we recommend that you:

    • Do not seek any cosmetic injectable treatments in the same treatment area in the four weeks prior to your appointment

    • Do not book any whooping cough or tetanus vaccinations in the four weeks prior to/following your appointment

Bio-remodelling

Not to be confused with a ‘skin boosting’ treatment, bio-remodelling treatments hydrate and remodel your skin from within. This treatment stimulates skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and restore the firmness of your skin. Bio-remodelling treatments can be introduced at any stage of your treatment journey and are an ideal choice if you wish to elevate the quality of your skin, without changing your facial shape or volume.

We recommend two treatments, spaced one month apart for the ultimate skin glow. Treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage and hands. For more information about this treatment (including cost) please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au or book a complimentary Butter consultation.

To further enhance your results following your bio-remodelling treatment, we recommend purchasing the Profhilo Haenkenium Antioxidant Cream.

  • Some patients are not suitable for bio-remodelling treatments. Please contact us if you have booked a bio-remodelling appointment and any of the following apply to you:

    1. You have previously had a reaction to a bio-remodelling treatment

    2. You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive

    3. You have a history of forming keloid scars.

    4. You have an infection at the proposed site of injection

    5. You are taking strong anti-coagulation (blood thinning) medications

To reduce your risk of bio-remodelling complications, we recommend that you:

Cosmetic lash and brow enhancement

Eyelashes and eyebrows play a crucial role in defining the eyes and contributing to the overall harmony of the face. However, balance and proportion are key. Overly thick or long enhancements, such as eyelash extensions, can affect natural facial proportions. This may lead to shadows around the eyes, making the eyes appear smaller and more recessed. Repeated eyelash extensions or over-plucking of the brows can damage hair follicles permanently, and in some cases prevent hair regrowth. While dramatic effects may appeal to some, most patients benefit from solutions that enhance their natural lashes and brows without overpowering their appearance. The ageing process can also lead to a noticeable reduction in the fullness, length, and overall appearance of lashes and brows, which many patients find concerning. Well-maintained, naturally enhanced lashes and brows brighten and define the eyes, maintain facial proportions and support a healthy, natural look.

To find out more about your suitability for cosmetic lash and brow enhancement, please book a consultation with our experienced Cosmetic Registered Nurse Elysia.

  • Do I need a prescription to use a cosmetic lash and brow enhancement product?

This product is available through authorised medical cosmetic clinics. It is not available over-the-counter and should only be used under medical supervision. All patients will require a medical consultation to ensure they are appropriate for treatment. Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive are not suitable for treatment.

How soon will I see results ?

Most patients begin to see noticeable results within 6-8 weeks of consistent use, with full results typically visible after 12 weeks.

Can this product be used on lower lashes?

The cosmetic lash and brow enhancement product is formulated for the upper lashes and eyebrows. Application the lower lashes is not recommended as it increases the risk of the serum getting into the eyes, which can cause irritation.

What happens if I stop using the product?

If you discontinue use, your eyelashes and eyebrows will gradually return to their pre-treatment appearance over several weeks or months as the growth cycle returns to normal.

Are there any side effects of using a cosmetic lash and brow product

Common side effects may include mild irritation or redness at the application site. In rare cases, the product may cause darkening of the skin around the eyes or a change in iris colour.

Can cosmetic lash and brow enhancement change my eye colour?

There is a small risk that prolonged use of the ingredient in this product may cause a permanent darkening of the iris, especially in individuals with lighter eye colours. Ensuring that the product is only applied to the outer lash line helps to diminish the risk of eye colour change.

What should I do if I experience irritation?

If you experience irritation, discontinue use and contact the clinic immediately. You may require a reduction in the frequency of application or ceasing use altogether.

How long does one cosmetic lash and brow enhancement product last?

One bottle provides a three month supply when used as directed (once daily application).

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, simply apply the next evening. Do not double up on doses to make up for the missed application.

How should I store my product?

Store your product at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to maintain product efficacy.

What should I do if my cosmetic lash and brow enhancement product gets into my eyes?

If the product accidentally gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice from the clinic.

Can I combine cosmetic lash and brow enhancement with other hair growth treatments?

It's possible to use a cosmetic lash and brow enhancement product in combination with other hair growth treatments, but this should be done under the supervision of a healthcare professional to avoid any potential interactions.

What clinical studies support the effectiveness of cosmetic lash and brow enhancement?

The product’s active ingredient has been extensively studied and is proven to be effective in promoting hair growth. These studies demonstrate significant improvements in hair density and length with consistent use.

Can a cosmetic lash and brow enhancement product be used by individuals with glaucoma?

The ingredient used in this product is also used in the treatment of glaucoma, but the dosage and formulation differs. It is crucial for individuals with glaucoma to consult with their ophthalmologist before using this product.

    What is the treatment cost?

TGA restrictions limit our ability to list the cost of our medical treatments online. Please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au or book a complimentary consultation to discuss the treatment cost.
